B.Tech.- Lateral Entry/MBA/MCA/M.Tech. Admission 2024-25

General guidelines for Direct counselling after two rounds of IKGPTU Centralized counselling without any reservation for the session 2024-25:

1. A candidate can apply on the basis of qualifying examination.

2. Admission will be based on Merit of qualifying examination as per IKGPTU guidelines.

3. B.Tech-Lateral Entry and M.Tech. Candidates must register on https://admission.gndec.ac.in to create user id by paying Rs. 200/- as user registration charges for filling the application form.

4. After creating user id candidate must download the application form from gndec.ac.in and submit the application form with documents as per check list attached with form.

5. Non-refundable Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 200/- as user registration charges on admission.gndec.ac.in + Rs.1000/- as other processing charges) will be charged as one-time processing fee from B.Tech-Lateral Entry and M.Tech. Candidates. In case of registration in M.Tech. Course fee of Rs. 1200/- is applicable per branch separately.

6. MBA & MCA candidates pay Non-refundable Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 200/- as user registration charges on admission.gndec.ac.in + Rs. 1000/- as other processing charges) while submitting the hard copy of admission form in respective departments.

7. Candidate must reach the College Auditorium on 12/09/2024 (as per time schedule) along with all required original documents as per mentioned in check list and set of Xerox of all the applicable documents for the direct counselling and full requisite fee.

8. Merit list(s) will be displayed on the day of counselling before the start of counselling.

9. The process of various rounds of direct counselling may be followed as given below:

2 Open Merged Pool (combining Punjab 85% and Other 15% ) and on merit of candidate As per the seat matrix of vacant seats with merging all seats of Punjab 85% and Other 15% after direct counselling round no. 1. Waiting list will be prepared as per the last admitted student’s cut-off in respect to each branch, if there are more interested applicants than the available seats.
3,4,5 and …… Spot counselling rounds(based on the merit of candidate) on 13th to 15th September 2024 by accepting fresh applications with requisite counselling fee till last date of admission as notified by AICTE/IKGPTU i.e 15th September 2024 (only after exhausting the waiting list of direct counselling). As per the available seats. Number of available seats will be displayed during spot counselling rounds manually.

10. Counselling for Round 1 & 2 will be held on same day i.e. 12.09.2024.

11. Candidates admitted through stated round of direct counselling as well as spot counselling rounds will have to pay one-time Rs.2000/- (non-refundable) as university direct counselling processing fee.

12. The candidate must bring full fee at the time of counselling, otherwise allotment of seat shall be stand cancelled and will be offered to the next candidate in merit list. No claims will be entertained afterwards for the same.

13. Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) for Eligible SC candidates during direct counselling is available only for Punjab resident and eligible candidates will be allowed only by paying applicable fee.

15. Registered candidates may contact their admission mentor(s) for any query.

16. All modes of fee payment are acceptable except cheque.

17. Candidates are advised to submit application form in hard copy form as per schedule given below:-
