Important Guidelines for Admission

  1. Spot Counselling for the vacant seats will be held in the academic Section of GNDEC, Ludhiana on daily basis. Software generated admission form will be received by the academic section of the college upto 11am on all working days till the last date of admission. Candidate must report with applicable fee and original documents.
  2. Candidates can apply online through existing registration number or a new registration on https://admission.gndec.ac.in and upload the relevant documents as per the notified schedule.
  3. Merit will be prepared and displayed and thereafter the Counselling process will start from 2 pm in the academic section on the same day.
  4. A candidate can apply either on JEE Main-2021 basis or 10+2 basis (i.e. who have not appeared in JEE Main 2021). Candidates who have appeared in JEE Main-2021 will be given priority (based on best JEE NTA Score) in merit over candidates who have not appeared in JEE Main-2021. Candidates who have appeared in JEE Main-2021 are advised to apply on the basis of JEE and not on the basis of 10+2.
  5. Rs.1000/- (Non-refundable) will be charged as a one-time processing fee. With the same fee against the same registration number, a candidate will be allowed to participate in forthcoming counselling process (if any) with the submission of his/her fresh application only.
  6. Eligible SC Punjab Resident candidates for Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) will be admitted against General Category based on merit and such candidates will be allowed to pay applicable fee (PMS-SC category).
  7. After successful payment of one-time processing fee (Rs.1000), candidate can fill the detailed form by providing the accurate and updated information. After this, admission form (in PDF format) will be generated. This software generated admission form along-with other relevant documents must be uploaded in “Upload Documents” tab of the candidate’s admission web-portal (https://admission.gndec.ac.in).
  8. As per Punjab Govt. per notification, eligibility criteria for B.Tech. 1st year admission is as follows:
    “All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by central/state government through a legislation and a member of Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practice / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies /Entrepreneurship (any of three).
    Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subject taken together.” 
  9. No waiting list will be maintained in spot counselling.
  10. No seat is currently available (for Admission Batch: 2021-22) in the B.Tech. First year in the disciplines of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology.
