Hostels

A student admitted to the college shall be provided hostel accommodation subject to its availability; otherwise, the student has to make his or her own arrangement. There are four hostels — three for boys and one for girls.

SECTION 01Amenities & Services

All basic amenities and services are provided in these hostels. Each hostel has a warden to ensure implementation of discipline and to create an atmosphere that is conducive to learning.

1. Ragging in any form in the hostel or institute is illegal and banned as per an Act of the Government of India.
2. Indiscipline of any kind, including fighting in the hostel premises, will be sternly dealt with and severely penalized.
3. The Chief Warden, Warden, Caretaker or the institute authorities can inspect any room at any time.
4. It is at the discretion of the Chief Warden or Warden to allot or not to allot a room / accommodation to a student on the basis of his or her previous record in the hostel or institute.
5. Students shall be responsible for the items issued to them or provided in the hostel. Damage to any hostel property shall be recovered from the students.
6. Smoking, drinking liquor, drugs and narcotics and other toxic substances of any kind are strictly prohibited in the institute and hostels.
7. Always keep your almirah and room locked, even when you go out of the room for a short period. The institute will not be responsible for any loss, damage or theft of personal belongings.
8. Hostellers are allowed to leave the hostel on holidays after making the necessary entry in the hostel movement register available in the respective hostel with the Caretaker / Security Guard.
9. Mess dues (bill) should be cleared up to the end of each month; otherwise a fine shall be charged, and strict action against the defaulter shall be taken by the hostel authority after the due date.
10. Mess dues should not exceed the security deposit amount; otherwise this will lead to closure of the mess account of the concerned student, and the student will have to vacate the hostel room.
11. Guests are not permitted to reside in the hostels.
12. For release of refundable money / mess security, students are required to submit the institute's final NO-DUES to the accounts section or mess account section within one year of passing out. On expiry of the stipulated time, the refundable money / security shall be forfeited.
13. It is mandatory for students to open a mess account in the hostel mess in order to avail the hostel room facility.

SECTION 04Hostel Messes

All hostel messes are governed by the mess council. A meeting of the mess council is held once in a semester to discuss various issues related to the mess. The members of the mess council are as follows.

SECTION 05Hostel Club

Each hostel has a club / common recreation room for the entertainment of students and for indoor sports activities. Various sports activities such as chess, badminton and table tennis are organized once in a semester inside the hostel club or recreation room.
