IGC ( International Go-Kart Championship) is an annual event which is hosted by LPU ( lovely Professional university) every year. The first team from our college for this prestigious event was started on 14th February 2013 with Puneet Madhav as captain. The first team was named as ‘Nitro Racerzz’. This team procured an all-India rank of 13 in the competition. The current entry from our college for this competition is team ‘Kartobots’ which has Anuj Gupta as captain and is being guided and motivated by professor Dr. Harmeet Singh.


Go-Kart is a small four-wheeled vehicle. Go-Kart comes in all shapes and forms, from motorless model to high racing machines (eg- superkarts). Most of Go-Kart use air-cooled 4-stroke engines with a chain drive transmitting power to rear axle. The engine power can range from 5-20 hp (horse power). Electric Go-Kart can also be used for riding purpose. The competition demands Go-Kart without suspension having engine of maximum capacity of 125cc. Braking system of Go-Kart should be hydraulic braking system with disc and caliper.
