SCIE is celebrating "World Habitat Day" on 4th Oct 2010. oin Workshop Seminar Hall. Dr. Chief Guest, M.S. Saini,Diirector, G.N.D.E.C. will be presiding the occasion.
The Activitiess scheduled are:

# Technical Lecture-1 by H.S.RAI (Prof. n Dean Consultancy)
# Technical Lecture-1 by Dr. Jagbir Singh.

Senior Members of the SCIE , Mr. Balbir Singh and Mr. Charanjit Singh from IEEE and Er. Arvind Dhingra, Faculty Advisor, SCIE - will be inaugrating the Chapter.

World Habitat Day’s purpose is to call attention to the current global state of the human habitat and push toward adequate housing for all. Habitat for Humanity around the world, in partnership with others, plan World Habitat Day events focused on education and advocacy. This year, the focus issues for these efforts are health and housing and neighborhood revitalization.

World Habitat Day is a day for grassroots action and a day for people to be united in their efforts to eradicate poverty. We hope that by raising awareness and advocating for universal decent housing we can dismantle and alter the systems that reinforce and entrench poverty housing. In doing so, we can make an affordable, decent place to live a reality for all.
