Application of Power Electronics
Types of Switch
Power Semiconductor diodes and characteristics
Diode characteristics, Reverse recovery characteristics, types of power diodes, Series connected diodes and parallel connected diodes + Numericals
Power Transistors
Bipolar junction transistors, Steady state characteristics

The test will be held on 24th April,2013(Sunday).The time and venue will be intimated in a day or two days.

Applied Electronics (D2EE)
Format for Question Paper( 3rd Test)
The format for question paper will be as follows:
1. The test will be of 24 marks and time allowed will be 90 minutes.
2. All questions will be compulsory.
3. short answer questions (2,3,3,3 marks each).
4. Short answer questions each of 4 marks. (8 marks).
5. One long question of 5 marks
6. All the questions will be from the syllabus covered in the class.
6. This time there will be no numericals.

Syllabus for Applied Electronics (1st Sessional)
The syllabus for 1st sessional D2 Electrical Engineering Students is as under:-
Transistor hybrid model,determination of h-parameters, derivations for determination of h parameters for one configuration in terms of h parameters of other configuration, analysis of amplifier(transistor) using h parameters, comparison(graphically) of transistor amplifier configurations,linear analysis of a transistor circuit and physical model of CB transistor.

the format for question paper will be intimated later on.

6 months industrial training
This refers to letter from TP cell regarding confirmation of 6 months industrial training. It is further submitted that all the students are required to submit the name of the company in which they are most likely to undertake their 6 months training.The names must be submitted to the TPO or department training and placement coordinators latest by 30.10.2011.
